Beginnings

Liberman started in 1994, born from the shared skills in education, publishing, and graphic design led by founder Pedro Molino. This team was dedicated to creating new cultural spaces for Andalusian creators with a global outlook rooted in humanist and Human Rights values.

Fostering a new culture of dialogue, creativity, and active participation, where promoting reading and books becomes a social necessity. This is crucial for improving communication, making informed decisions, and ultimately achieving greater freedom.

New era is Canadian

Since 2025, Líberman has been under a new leadership of Spanish-Canadian writers and journalists based in Montréal. They aim to become the leading publisher of Canadian literature translated into Spanish and in Canada for Hispanic literature, with a new catalog of classics and hidden gems chosen for their literary quality and diverse traditions.

Our mission is to publish key works that highlight Canadian culture, especially Indigenous voices. We focus on stories about intergenerational violence and new Canadian authors tackling feminism, climate change, and decolonial movements.

We feature Spanish and Latin American authors with similar themes, building a literary bridge between Canadian, Spanish, and Latin American cultures.
